One 20-litre KEG is the equivalent of 27 individual 0.75-litre bottles. This corresponds to 17 kilograms of used glass, which is avoided with each KEG that is filled. As a result, the circular economy produces demonstrably lower CO2 emissions than the production of new single-use containers. Over a period of 20 years, the carbon footprint of a KEG is 96 per cent lower than that of glass bottles.
